How to resolve the Military Tunnels and Launch Site keycard puzzles?
Green cards can be found as a drop from scientists, and at the lighthouse, super market and Oxum's Gas Station. Blue cards can be found in vending machines at the Outpost or in loot rooms opened by the green card that do not contain a blue door. Red cards can only be found in crates and behind the locked blue doors. Green Keycards can also be found at Lighthouses and Gas Stations. If you really can't find them at any non militarized places I would recommend going to military tunnel and killing a few guards with a bow. Make sure to have some clothes on thought to prevent radiation! A machine found in most radtowns which can break items into 50% of their constituency. Items which have constituent materials that they require only one of will have a.
There are two monuments with the better loot in the game: that's the military tunnels and the Launch Site. In order to get into the tunnels or the Launch Site you need to solve some puzzles.
Military Tunnels
For the Military tunnels you need 1 fuse, 1 green card, 1 blue card ánd 1 red card. And of course you need a radsuit.
- Puzzle steps
- Take the right door of the main entrance
- Once inside continue to the right until you reach a door on your right hand side.
- In there you will find a fuse box with a timer next to it that you will need to activate to unlock the first door.
- Make your way down to the core of the tunnels.
- Look for a doorway through the fence on your left. Go through there and head left.
- On the other side of the tracks you'll see the green door.
- Once you go through there, on your right hand side you'll find an ON/OFF-Switch, flip this to be on.
- To get to the blue door you need to head to the center of the core – The train wagon with the three elite crates in it.
- Now, head down the most obstructed passage.
- On your right you'll find the blue door.
- Directly behind the blue door you'll find the red door, with a short timed timer.
- Behind this door you'll find the main loot of the puzzle as well as a fast exit on the other side of the room.
Launch Site
To get into the Launch Site, you only need 2 fuses, 1 green card and 1 red card. Together with a radsuit.

- Puzzle steps
- Go to the small crude oil barrel building to the side of the dip in launch, inside here you'll find an on/off-switch. Turn it on. The 2nd on/off-switch can be found just before the sewer part of launch, and can be accessed by going down from this building. This powers the timed switch it can be found by dropping down next to the rocket scaffolding. From there jump over to the timed electricity point. Activate the timer and proceed with the jumping puzzle. On the other end you'll find a button, give it a press!
- Now you can head over to the green door, it can be found at the little building next to the three silos. In there you'll find your first fuse box, put a fuse in it and switch the on/off-switch on that's next to it.
- Go through the door nearest to the two blue containers, in that room is the second fuse box with another on/off-switch next to it. This should then unlock the Red Door.
- There are 4 red doors at the launch site, 2 on each side of the building. When coming from the blue containers' side you should pick the right door.
- The way up to launch remains unchanged.

How does the new Rust keycard system work?
The new keycard system can be a pain in the ass if you don't know how to operate it. The big ‘bonus' loot has been hidden behind closed doors now and you need some extra work to get to it.
(Please note: this particular how-to could be only applicable to Playrust.nl servers, since mods can alter the way how they work or how you get keycards)
Several monuments have their loot hidden behind closed doors. You need to open these doors by finding one of the keycards (monuments are assigned a keycard color depending on the loot available). Launch Site needs red cards.
For this example, we'll be looking at Launch Site and Harbor. Both have loot behind closed doors. Launch Site has been closed up, so Bradley also doesn't have access to it anymore. That means: if you're in, you'll be safe as long as no one else is in there to kill you and get the loot first. Loot behind closed doors will also respawn in 30 minutes, instead of the normal 2 hours.
Launch Site
As said, the Launch Site has been closed up. Entering it requires you to have a red keycard and a fuse. In order for the cardreader to work, you need two fuses and put them into the fuseboxes located in buildings next to the Launch Site building. Fuses are found in crates in the world and can currently last 180 seconds when plugged through flowing current inside a fuse box.
So the steps to follow to enter a door:
1. Find colored keycards and fuses
2. Put the fuse in the fusebox near the place you want to open up
3. Power up the cardreaders with the switch next to the fusebox
4. Swipe the required card (red for Launch Site) at the cardreader
5. The door is now open and will automatically lock for a next visitor
Click here for more information on Launch Site specifics.
Harbor
The principe for the Harbor is much the same, but the fusebox is easier to see. If you find the shipping container, take a look at the lower room.
Switches
There are several switches and overrides. Switches to power up a cardreader are usually next to the fusebox. Don't forget to switch it to ON when you added a fuse and use the cardreader within 180 seconds or your fuse will blow out.
Next to this, there are some overrides. For some overhead doors, you can push a button on turn a wheel to open the door. Be quick, cause the door closes if you stop pushing or turning the wheel.
Keep in mind: some places need two fuses. You can see this with the AND/OR connections:
Where do I find these cards?
You can find green, blue and red cards as well as fuses throughout the map. Green and blue are available more randomly and in crates, barrels and scientists, while red cards are mainly available inside blue areas and higher tier loot boxes like the treasure boxes and heli/bradley/airdrops. There is also a chance they spawn in crates.
You can also buy cards in the Outpost vending machines.
Which card do I need for doors?
